ABOUT

Prism Lighting Design is a Maine-based lighting design studio specializing in architecturally integrated, emotionally resonant lighting for high-end residential, hospitality, and wellness projects.

We believe lighting is not an afterthought or a layer to be added late in the process. It is a core architectural material—one that shapes how a space feels, functions, and endures over time.

VIVIAN PRIESTLEY, ASSISTANT LIGHTING DESIGNER

Vivian Priestley joined Prism Lighting Design in 2022 as design assistant. Prior to her shift into the field of lighting design, Vivian worked in the Portland area in Law, Politics, and Landscaping, with a steadfast dedication to improving her local community. While researching local design firms in the area and thinking about her continuing education, Vivian was connected to Maxime and found a place at the firm assisting with the growth of the company. She has a background in art and design from her Undergraduate Degree, a BA in Anthropology and Art from the University of Vermont and grew up surrounded by the many works of Maine artists.

By working alongside Maxime, with her extensive lighting background, Vivian began to hone her skills in project management, consulting, and design. Since starting at the firm, Vivian has assisted with multiple projects in Maine and New England. She has found that at Prism Lighting Design she is able to continue exploring the relationship between Maine residents, their changing environments, and lighting design.
